Eagle Rest Reserve offers a range of therapeutic outdoor and creative activities specifically designed for veterans, first responders, healthcare professionals, and other public servants, along with their families. We specialize in fly fishing and fly tying—activities known for their meditative, repetitive motions that help interrupt negative thinking patterns. These activities are particularly advantageous for individuals managing PTSD, traumatic brain injuries, acute and chronic pain, anxiety, depression, and feelings of loneliness or isolation.
At Eagle Rest Reserve, we call our participants "Eagles," honoring their strength and resilience. We provide them and their families with all necessary equipment at no cost, including complete fly rod setups, fly tying vises, and tools. Additionally, we offer fishing trips, instructional sessions, and guided services. Our primary mission is to equip our Eagles with both the tools and the knowledge needed to initiate their own healing processes whenever they require.

Heroes Outreach is dedicated to assisting military members and first responders by providing tailored resource allocation to support their active roles, while also combating the mental health stigma prevalent in these communities. The organization was founded by individuals who experienced personal struggles within their careers, highlighting the urgent need for confidential and accessible support systems. Heroes Outreach offers a confidential, cost-free service that acts as a critical link between heroes and the resources they need, ensuring they can seek help without jeopardizing their careers.
The organization addresses the broader issues of suicide, addiction, and familial difficulties faced by its clients, implementing preventative measures to assist before a crisis occurs. Recognizing the slow pace of change in public perceptions of mental health, Heroes Outreach also actively works to reshape societal views, allowing its clients and their families the space to heal without judgment. Through public advocacy and direct support, Heroes Outreach aims to improve both the wellbeing of its clients and societal attitudes towards mental health in high-stress professions.

Our mission is to connect veterans and their families with available services in Comal County and New Braunfels. We envision becoming the leading non-profit organization in the area, dedicated to providing resources, education, and advocacy to ensure veterans have access to the care and opportunities they deserve.
Project Heroes First is dedicated to serving veterans whose lives have been profoundly changed. Our mission is to honor both past and present veterans by providing them with adaptive, multi-purpose functional fitness programs and a nurturing community to help them thrive. With over 1.3 million veterans in the U.S. considered disabled, we see it as our duty to support them in overcoming their challenges and leading fulfilling lives. We foster an environment where veterans can connect with peers, share stories, and find encouragement. Through these efforts, we aim to empower our nation's protectors to become the leaders of tomorrow.
